Browser Favourites Add in

Postby spaceboy » Sun Jun 03, 2012 1:40 pm

Hi, I'm tying but failing to get either of the firefox or chrome browser add ins to work. the firefox one appears to install but the icon never shows up inn the add in toolbar and the chrome one just doesn't complete the install. the blue button just says "Checking..."

i have previously had the firefox add in working but i was wondering whether there had been a change at the website which is causing this? Also if we could have a filter for HD in the MCE love film app that would be super!

thanks

I just re-tested, and they are working fine for me. Nothing has changed since they were first released, so there must be some problem on your computer.

I'm glad you got it partly solved. What version of Firefox are you using?

it just updated me to 13 when i went in to check. it thinks the addon is still compatible though. i just never get the little icon appear in the addon bar, the adblock one is there but i've tried removing this too and still no change.

cheers

I must admit I haven't had a chance to test with 13 yet. The icon only appears when you are on a movie web page - it pattern matches the URL. Have you gone to a movie web page yet?

no, i don't think its the version, you're probably right that its likely something else i have installed or configured. its just weird its the same on both my laptop and even directly from the HTPC. Could there possibly some problem where love film mce and the addon are installed on the same PC? I can't think of anything else. the only other PC i have access to (work) bans the lovefilm website.

honestly though martin, if its just me don't worry. its mainly my sense of frustration that wants to fix this, if i really start using the streaming service i'll just use chrome. cheers

i meant to add, as an example http://www.lovefilm.com/film/It%27s-Com ... omplicated here on chrome i get the icon in the address bar, on firefox i thought i should see the greyed out icon when not on a movie page and the coloured icon when on the page. i see the add on bad, i see other icons in the addon bar but i don't see a greyed out icon or the coloured icon at any point...
