songler crasj

Postby juanxomes » Tue Mar 09, 2010 1:02 am

Dear Martin
I've a crsh problem with Songler.
Ive' instaled songler and aplied the reg modification for w7 x64.
Spotify runs OK in my PC
I only use spotify, not last.fm
When i search any artist songler crashes with "invalid aplication" message from WMC.
It also crashes when I press SAVE at the preferences.
But when i search by album or single song it runs ok and shows me a list with the results.
But when i try to play the song, songler crashes too with the WMC message, but the song is played in background, thus the spotify program is runing.

Could you solve my problem?
Thanks in advance

When it crashes, you need to get an error log. Go to Event Viewer and navigate to the Applications and Services Logs > Media Center node to find the full errors, and upload them here.

See the FAQs for full info;

Sorry.
I hope it is want you need.
You have to delete the final fake extension .zip of the attachment. I've done it because the program didn't allow me to attach the original log file.
Thanks

I'm sorry, but even after changing the extension, it came through as garbage.

It looks like it is failing when it tries to get your last.fm subscriber details. Did you enter them correctly? Are you behind a firewall that may prevent them from being retrieved?

I assume you are on the latest version (1.4.1) aren't you? There was an earlier issue when not running in English, which has been resolved.

Can you run with logging turned on as described in the FAQ, and send the log file too? That will show me what last.fm are sending back, and give me a clue as to why it is failing.

Here is the log.
I only use spotify, not last.fm.
In this case I searched a song. Then a list of songs apears, I try one, select play it, and When I pressed play, songler crashed, but the song starts playing.
If I minimize WMC, a window with spotify is open playng the song.

When I search a entire volume, crashes in a similar way
When I search an artist crashes inmediatly in the search window

Thanks

Thanks. You sent an event file again, not the log file. It's the first part of FAQ 5 about enabling a log file by setting the logFile registry entry that I need you to follow.

Thanks
