Shokz Files is a dedicated audio manager for your mp3 enabled headphones, such as Shokz OpenSwim, and Shokz OpenSwim Pro. It allows you to copy content onto your headphones, manage the files on there, and to optimise content for playing podcasts
Instructions
Plug your headphones into your phone or tablet using the supplied headphone cable. You may need to use a USB OTG dongle, depending on the connections on your device. This then allows your phone to see the headphones, and add files.
To copy audio files from your phone to your headphones, you can either Share audio to the app, e.g. from your favourite music or podcast app. Just click the Share button in the app, then pick Shoks Files as the destination. This will copy the file to your headphones. Alternatively, click the + button in the Shokz Files app to browse your phone to choose files to copy across.
You can view the existing files on your headphones to manage existing content too – remove files you don’t want to listen to any more, and listen to audio from the headphones.
Podcast support
Listening to podcasts on Shokz headphones in mp3 mode can be a frustrating experience, because there is no support for fast forwarding through files. To solve this problem, there is an option to split the podcast file into 1 minute chunks, so skipping to the next file jumps you forward 1 minute through the podcast. When you do this, podcasts will be put into folders, and you can skip entire podcasts by jumping to the next folder. On Shokz OpenSwim Pro for example, that means that double clicking the multi-function button jumps forward 1 minute in the podcast, and pressing the multi-function button and volume + for 2 seconds jumps forwards to the next podcast.
